The Desk of Doom

Mounted on the wall across the bullpen from Goren and Eames, there a few signs. One, in a copperplate script and an illuminated letter in the style of the Book of Kells says "Notice: I have licked one or more items on this desk. Proceed at your own peril." Others seem to be warning bypassers about protocols of dealing with the desk's occupant, along with a series of post-it-notes demanding the return of items or the cessation of certain behaviors.
The desk below has a battered nameplate that says "Det. Michael Logan," and has files and papers scattered over the surface. There are doodles over everything, most of them rude, and the trashcan under the desk is full of used gum. Under the files are several books, including graphic novels. The pencils and pens strewn across it belong to other people.
In addition, there is a small replica of the Statue of Liberty, with a few minor changes - the torch is a lit joint, the poem on the tablet begins "Give me your red-eyed..." and the base reads "Legalize It."

Millie has, under advice from Jackie, stolen a more comfy chair...and it tilts back, as made obvious by the shoe scuffs on the desk's surface. She's also replaced his phone with one with larger numbers...which produced some bellowing defending the quality of his eyesight.

On a serious note, there is a framed picture of Millie Logan sleeping, next to one of her in her wedding dress.

Sad. Logan's cynicism has grown worse since his two-seven days. Maybe Staten Island's fault, maybe not. He's definitely lost his hope for something better.
